Abstract: a computational visual identity from a short course at University of the Arts London
The work page gives the span as July to August 2016 and says the piece was completed during a short course at University of the Arts London. The brief was to visualise a given piece of music; he turned it into particles with web effects, added trajectories with gravity, repulsion and mouse interaction, so that each playback produces a unique visual identity. He calls it one of his favourite works. The “other works” list on his Hahow course page also names Abstract, music turned into visual form; the page was archived in March 2017 with a CodePen title still on it.

Through August, before the course opened, the examples appeared one by one: Project1 on 30 August, Demo2-5 on the 27th, Animated Web Design Example 1 on the 15th, the last carrying his own line: Che-Yu Wu, Monoame Design, from graphic design and animation to front- and back-end web work. A June 2016 archive of monoame.com/poem/1/, titled “Poems at Will, no. 1, Anxiety”. Selinko × Rémy Martin: the app interface for an NFC-verified bottle
The work page gives the span as March to May 2015, with the Belgian start-up Selinko and Rémy Martin as clients. It describes a campaign app for the Chinese market: with counterfeit spirits common, Selinko put an NFC chip in the cap that is destroyed on opening, so a scan shows whether a bottle has been reused. He proposed extending Rémy Martin's identity, presented a mood board for the interface's motion concept, and delivered a minimal, modern interface; the other task was a 3D model and animation of the bottle that the client wanted as close to the real one as possible. Selinko's press release of 1 July 2015 announced the Rémy Martin Centaur Connected app; the campaign film embedded on the work page was uploaded to Vimeo by the production company Ouat.

NCTU Christmas Festival “Dance of Light”: a Christmas tree that flashes to the music
The description calls this the second stage of the student union marketing department's Project Smile: music and lights arranged together so that people crossing campus would slow down. The work page says he led six people from the department, bought Arduino boards, replaced the light strings' control boxes with a board of their own, choreographed seven layers of lights to a piece of music, and drew more than five hundred students to a show in front of the library on Christmas Eve. An Apple Daily item on 22 December reports commenters calling it “a tech nerd's idea of romance” and notes the 4.5-metre tree came from the department head. Design lecture “A Travel to the Design World '14”: a 39-page deck by the student union's head of marketing
At 6:10 pm on 30 November 2014, in the Heqin Auditorium (合勤講堂) at Engineering Building 4, basement 1, the poster names the student union's head of marketing, Che-Yu Wu, as the speaker. The 39-page deck starts with his own work: the Acer Digital Creation Awards 2008 to 2012, the Blackboard War, illustration, 3D design (elevators, medical, factory), effects for Sun Color, and web design. It then uses the student union graphic design he had done since July 2014 to talk about design attitude, the 10,000-hour rule, observing life and connection. The programme was the role of design, Photoshop basics, Photoshop in practice and open exchange.

He ran the site two years in a row and later built a membership system that issued free tickets against ID, tracked visiting habits and handled admission checks for about twenty thousand visitors. A screen recording of just over a minute, titled “a cute interface for the speech recognition API XDDD”: an anime-style chat window in the browser that turns speech into text. A small experiment from the autumn of his first university year, with no further description.

Logic sketches from autumn 2013 to early 2014: project files and one preview
Pieces made in Logic in his first term at university. The 22 projects run from 29 August 2013 to 16 January 2014 and none was exported as a finished track; the only thing that plays is an 81-second preview Logic saved inside Omni Night Sky. The other projects keep window captures that show the sounds he tried: bells, harp, marimba, grand piano, harpsichord, flute and guzheng.
