Lonely Sunflower

Continuing the Causality series. This time, I explored Phototropism—the biological imperative to follow the light.

I love the relativity of plant time. To our eyes, they appear static, like sculptures; but in time-lapse, they are in constant, dynamic motion, dancing in pursuit of the sun. Using the same woven POPs aesthetic, I simulated this slow, twisting growth in TouchDesigner. Amidst the digital weeds of the Computational Garden, a single sunflower rises from the ground, its stem contorting to track the light source. In a corner of this algorithmic world, a lonely flower stands, forever yearning for energy and warmth.

延續了「因果（Causality）」系列的探索。這次的主題是向光性——那股追隨光線的本能。

我很喜歡植物那種相對緩慢的時間感。在人類眼中，它們看似靜止；但在縮時攝影（Time-lapse）的維度裡，它們其實正劇烈地移動著，進行一場追逐光線的舞蹈。 延續 POPs 線條編織的風格，我在 TouchDesigner 中建構了這個場景：在雜草叢生的演算花園一角，一朵向日葵拔地而起。它隨著模擬的太陽軌跡扭曲、生長，永遠向著能量與溫暖的方向渴求著。 這是一朵在數據中獨自綻放，有點寂寞，卻充滿渴望的向日葵。
