DNA Structure

Today’s experiment: Using sin and cos functions to architect a DNA helix and its ATGC chemical bonds. I went back and forth between a monochrome and colored look, but eventually settled on color to bring out the details. By linking the logic to an audio-visual performance workflow, I can manipulate the strands in real-time—controlling the tightness of the coil and the rotation phase. The result is a grand, sci-fi cinematic tension.
