Overview
A real-time installation inspired by coffee-growing landscapes, shaped by Taipei’s weather, time, visitor flow and sales data.
Work and viewing
Presented in the mountain-shaped seating area at Starbucks DreamPlaza, the work alternates between a landscape of coffee trees responding to climate and a spectrum of colors associated with coffee flavors. These movements connect the journey from origin to cup with life in the store.
Original work record
Original work statement from MonoLab
Coffee is the doorway to dreams.
In this digital dreamscape, mountains and skies intertwine.
The fragrance of memory rises with the colors of emotion,
and every cup of coffee becomes a bubble,
holding moments and feelings that cannot be replicated.
When you gaze into The Coffee Dreamscape,
you are not looking at a still image.
It shifts with time and space,
reshaped by people, choices, and emotions
constantly generating, repainting, and blooming.
