Rotating Clock

I spotted a vintage mechanical ”firework clock“ from the 2000s at my friend‘s @arzchen shop @cabinetm2022 . I was fascinated by its mechanism—using a barrier grid and a spinning colorful disk to create a mesmerizing, swirling vortex effect.

Inspired by this analog beauty, I recreated the mechanism in 3D using TouchDesigner. I used signals to drive the rotation and added a digital twist: over time, the clock deconstructs, revealing its internal structure.
