About

Physis is not a thing, it is an act.

Physis (φύσις) comes from ancient Greek, referring to the force of creation and natural growth. It is not a static natural object, but a process that unfolds silently and ceaselessly, existing within all things yet to be named. Imagine this exhibition as stepping into a dream still in the making.

You will see fish, but they do not belong to any known species; you will encounter flowers, yet they have never taken root in the soil. They appear like remnants of memory—blurred, distorted—yet evoke a sense of real presence. Today, using LG OLED products as our brush, we harness the perfect blacks, infinite contrast, and delicate colors made possible by self-lit pixel technology, transforming algorithmically constructed “water,” “fish,” “flowers,” and “dreams” into dynamic digital life, delivering a sensory experience of technological computation.

And inevitably, a question arises in the mind: Is what we are seeing still “nature”? Or have we already stepped into an entirely new logic—one born of computation?

Story

A fish drifted past me, moving as if through water—yet there was no water. Its scales shimmered with the colors of dawn, but it had no name, no kin. Then, I came upon a garden—petals slowly unfolding without roots, as if they grew from air and light. These lives were unlike anything I had ever known: blurred, shifting, and reborn in the very next moment.

I walked deeper, and the scenery around me breathed. Mountains rose before my eyes, lakes whispered by my ear, and the sky opened and closed like the gentle clasp of a hand. I suddenly realized this was not a still world, but a forest that had never ceased to be in the making. Nothing here had yet been named, and no form remained forever.

I asked in wonder—Is this nature? But when I turned back, the path was gone, leaving only a landscape that kept unfolding, gently wrapping me as if in a dream.

From that moment on, I understood: this world needs no name— for in the instant it comes into being, it is already alive.
