### Abstract: a computational visual identity from a short course at University of the Arts London

The work page gives the span as July to August 2016 and says the piece was completed during a short course at University of the Arts London. The brief was to visualise a given piece of music; he turned it into particles with web effects, added trajectories with gravity, repulsion and mouse interaction, so that each playback produces a unique visual identity. He calls it one of his favourite works. The “other works” list on his Hahow course page also names Abstract, music turned into visual form; the page was archived in March 2017 with a CodePen title still on it.

### Poems at Will, no. 1, Anxiety: a poem turned into an interactive page

A June 2016 archive of monoame.com/poem/1/, titled “Poems at Will, no. 1, Anxiety”. The poem begins “anxiety is a clock with sixty second hands”, credited to the poet Mo Jin with interactive visuals by Monoame Design. The “other works” list on his Hahow course page calls it poem visualisation. It is among his earliest attempts at turning text into an interactive image, before the sketches and daily works on this site.

The course is pitched at designers and people with no programming background: write in Codepen and see the result at once, from page elements and Sass to Vue.js and an interactive piano. ### Selinko × Rémy Martin: the app interface for an NFC-verified bottle

The work page gives the span as March to May 2015, with the Belgian start-up Selinko and Rémy Martin as clients. It describes a campaign app for the Chinese market: with counterfeit spirits common, Selinko put an NFC chip in the cap that is destroyed on opening, so a scan shows whether a bottle has been reused. He proposed extending Rémy Martin's identity, presented a mood board for the interface's motion concept, and delivered a minimal, modern interface; the other task was a 3D model and animation of the bottle that the client wanted as close to the real one as possible. Selinko's press release of 1 July 2015 announced the Rémy Martin Centaur Connected app; the campaign film embedded on the work page was uploaded to Vimeo by the production company Ouat.

### NCTU Christmas Festival “Dance of Light”: a Christmas tree that flashes to the music

The description calls this the second stage of the student union marketing department's Project Smile: music and lights arranged together so that people crossing campus would slow down. The work page says he led six people from the department, bought Arduino boards, replaced the light strings' control boxes with a board of their own, choreographed seven layers of lights to a piece of music, and drew more than five hundred students to a show in front of the library on Christmas Eve. An Apple Daily item on 22 December reports commenters calling it “a tech nerd's idea of romance” and notes the 4.5-metre tree came from the department head. The test video has passed thirty-seven thousand views.

### Taipei International Cosmetics Expo: two years of website, ticketing and membership system

The work page gives the span as September 2014 to September 2015, with the United Daily News as the client. It describes Taiwan's largest cosmetics fair: he designed the website, built a ticketing system, and reworked the visual identity and site four times in a year, bringing the look of international beauty brands into a conservative trade show. He ran the site two years in a row and later built a membership system that issued free tickets against ID, tracked visiting habits and handled admission checks for about twenty thousand visitors. A November 2015 archive of the monoame.com home page is in fact a staging copy of the 25th Taipei International Cosmetics Expo site, with “site design and development: Monoame Design” in the footer.
